The hotbuys are in! What do you think about them? We've been seeing spoilers for the Miama tee shirt and colorful leggings for a while now, so I'm glad they are finally here. Also, did you notice the tye dye dress? It was made with the same template as the 80's dress back in July. Wait-do you see the pink Candie's bag?That has already been released! Maybe they are going to change it into hotbuys....
I was just looking through fashion pages, and I found this Taylor Momsen dress and was reminded of this Voile one I just bought! Isn't that funny?
Stardoll just came out with a new brand- Moxie Girls! It has alot of punky-but-girly clothes. Personally it's not my style, but some of the pieces are adorable. I like the white boots! Peculiarly, it is also non-superstar, just like Kohl's. Is stardoll finally beginning to provide more for non-superstars? All of the clothes in the line are very decently priced as well, and I love the doll model! Tell me what you think! Do you like the brand?
Yay! Stardoll has added a new Play and Earn game- Math Challenge. Unfortunetly, they also got rid of Celeb Snapshot. You play by answering basic math questions. This game looks easy, but has slow loading graphics. The most difficult thing about it is clicking the right box at the right time- it's challenging for your fingers to work as fast as your brain. The questions also get progressively harder. Once you get to about 2000 points, it may be easier to use a calculator to avoid mental math.
For a girly look, it is a good idea to use a soft, wavy hairstyle like this side curl. For the eyes, I applied Dot White Collection Eyeshadow(5 sd), Dot Lengthening Mascara(2 sd- A must have for all superstars), and Dot Plum Fluid Liner(3 sd). Next I swept Peachy Blush(8 sd) across the jaw line and into the cheeks. This shade, and the Rose blush(also 8 sd) are good for light skin tones. The finishing touches, Electric pink Lipstick(8 sd) and Feather Earrings(7 sd), polish the look.
Punk/Goth:
This look begins with one of my favorite haircuts- the Rihanna 'do. For the eyes, I used the Blue Eyeshadow(5 sd), Black Eye Kohl(6 sd- another must have. It makes eyes really pop by adding darker lines), and Black Volumizing Mascara(3 sd). The next step is to add Flame Red Lipstick(8 sd, but save money by using the free Valentines Day Lipstick) and Mauve Red Blush(8 sd). To add drama, use a tad bit of Jet Black Highlight(8 sd), but don't overdo it. Next comes accessories! I thought that the Bow Necklace(6 sd) added a nice touch.
80's(This style is IN right now!):
Although I wouldn't normally recommend this style, the bun pull back thing is great for an 80's themed medoll. After fixing your dolls hair, add the Orange Shade Stick(8 sd) and several different layers of eye shadow to make a cool, retro eye. Finish it off with Lengthening Mascara(2 sd) and White Collection Eyepencil(5 sd). To make the look even funkier, use the Orange Crush Lip Pen(9 sd) for color. The final touches are Hair Higlight Copper(8 sd) and Crazy Earrings(6 sd).
Just so you know, all of these looks are just examples- feel free to use products you already have, or mix it up- make it your style!

If you look in the lower left hand corner on the first page of Pretty in Pink, there is a lamp on the hanger! I wonder if it was supposed to go to the minishop. Just thought you might think that was funny!
This inspired by Julien MacDonald dress is a challenge because of its low neckline. If your doll is more "modest" I recommend wearing the Lady Gaga Silver Bra underneath to keep the silver theme and escence of the gown. I paire this ensemble with a beautiful black and white handbag from Voile for only one sd.
Non-Superstar:
The Fudge Girl skirt in Archive is very bland on its own, and pairing it with a white blouse is unoriginal. Alternatively, the Double Breasted Jacket from Stardoll,and the Platform Sandals from Fallen Angel give this outfit visual interest. When you have an "unpopping" outfit, pump it up with statement shoes and you are ready to go!

Okay. I get that they are in style right now, but why is stardoll making so many of them?? I mean, do you actually know anyone who has worn one of these? Oddly enough, some of them are hotbuys or have been brought back by the Archive store. My favorite is the halterneck Candy Jumpsuit from Elle, but at 14 sd its not exactly worth it. If you have seen someone actually wear one of these plesase say so! Here I have posted a few pics from real life fashion shows that featured jumpsuits:
